When two sisters and a couple of friends began busking on the streets of Exeter for fun and to raise money for charity, they little imagined that they would become an ‘in demand’ string quartet on Devon’s wedding scene performing professionally for the busy wedding season every year.
As classically trained string players, the standard of musicianship was unmistakably high and in no time at all, they were getting requests for concert performances, parties and weddings… and so The Obligato String Quartet began. Some 10 years later they have played hundreds of performances in barns and castles, marquees and churches.
