Why should I book St. Andrew's?
The church building is a beautiful and historic, yet versatile space used for all kinds of events. It also offers some of the best acoustics in the area and is equipped with a Bose sound system, a hearing aid loop and disabled access.
Is the church building suitable for my event?
Naturally, the setting lends itself better to certain types of events than others. Classical concerts, conferences and services tend to work well, whilst the venue is not suitable for ‘gigs’ due to the building design and technical capabilities.
How far ahead should I book?
We recommend booking as early as you possibly can as the church building is in such regular use. If you’re booking in December, you’re advised to book at least a year in advance. If you have any queries about dates, please do get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise you as best we can.
Can I book the church building for any time?
We would like to advise that whilst we welcome bookings for the use of our church building, there are occasions when the church activities must take priority and the booking may need to be flexible around this. For example; if you are using the building for setting up for an evening concert the church space will be open to the public during the day and people may come in to pray.
Carol Services
St. Andrew’s hosts carol services for a number of organisations, schools and groups. The diary around Christmas time is normally extremely busy, but we aim to accommodate as many organisations as possible. When a carol service is held at St. Andrew’s we ask that one of our clergy lead and speak at it – that clergyman will also help you to plan the service.
