We’re excited to meet together again in our church building from Sunday 6th September.
In place of our regular service times, we’re having one Sunday Morning service at 10:00am. You can also join our services via YouTube.
We have already resumed our service at 10:15am on Thursdays.
Things to Know about Attending Church
- Please bring your own Bible and please turn up early
- Please don’t park outside church
- Sparklers and Rock Solid groups will be running from Sept 6, Pathfinders from Sept 13. Younger children are very welcome but be aware that we can’t run a creche.
And please note the following government guidance:
- Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss of, or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell) should not attend
- Where individuals are self-isolating due to a possible or confirmed case of COVID-19 in the household, or because they have been requested to so by NHS Test and Trace, please do not attend
- Whilst shielded patients and those who are clinically vulnerable may choose to gather in groups outdoors and form support bubbles, they are still advised NOT to attend places of worship indoors.
- In accordance with Test & Trace guidelines, a temporary register of church attendees will be completed and retained for 3 weeks before being securely destroyed. This will only be used to assist the NHS in investigation of a local outbreak.
- The wearing of face coverings is mandatory from 8 August in line with updated government guidance (1 Aug). You can read more here about this and who is exempt here.

We know it can be daunting to come to a new church for the first time.
We want to make it really easy for you to come to St. Andrew’s, so if you’d like we can arrange for one of our congregation to meet you at the door. They’ll show you around, help with getting children to their groups, and answer any questions that you might have. Just fill in the form below:
8:00am – BCP Holy Communion
A quiet, traditional service following the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
9:30am – Holy Communion
Our weekly Communion service, usually led by choir and organ.
11:15am – Morning Service with Children’s & Youth Groups
A more contemporary feel, with a crèche and children’s groups and Pathfinders for teenagers.
6:30pm – Evening Service
A relaxed, informal service with Communion once a month.
Thursday Communion
Every Thursday morning at 10:15am we meet together for a traditional communion service from the Book of Common Prayer.
Midday Prayers
A short, simple service takes place at 12 noon, Monday – Friday in St. Philip’s Chapel (located at the front of church on the left hand side).
Accessibility
We have wheelchair access at the main entrance off Royal Parade, as well as wheelchair-accessible toilets.

There is a hearing loop installed which you can use by switching your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position.
Large print service sheets are available from the welcome team at all of our services. We also have large print Bibles available; please ask the welcome team for a copy. Gluten-free wafers and non-alcoholic wine are available at each of our Communion services. If you have any additional needs, please get in touch.
