Throughout the autumn this year, we are holding some music recitals on Wednesday lunchtimes in the church; similar to our previous years’ summer recitals. We have an exciting and varied programme for you to come and enjoy! They are free to attend, though we would welcome any kind donations.  We are offering lunches for purchase – from 12pm in the Abbey Hall and teas and coffees in the church before and after the recitals.

Here are the details:

Wednesday 8th September 1:10 pm – Richard Line – Organ
Richard will be playing a selection of music including a piece written specially for Mayflower 400
by local composer Clive Jenkins

Wednesday 15th September 1:10 pm – The Wivelscombe String Quartet
The locally based quartet will be playing music by Beethoven, Haydn and Dvorak, see this link for

Wednesday 22nd September 1:10 pm – Kezia Robson – Soprano
Kezia is a locally based soprano.

Wednesday 29th September 1:10 pm – Flute Cake
Flute Cake is a locally based flute ensemble who will play a programme of varied music on
different styles and sizes of flute

Wednesday 6th October 1:10 pm – Elaine Davies – Saxophone and Flute and Sean Sweeney – Piano
Elaine and Sean will be playing a selection of music for saxophone, flute and piano

Wednesday 13th October 1:10 pm – Levowan XII
Levowan XII are a small Cornish choir directed by Marcus Alleyne.

Wednesday 20th October 1:10 pm – Hannah Lindsey-Clark – Flute and Kim Van Der Kiste – Piano
Hannah and Kim will play a programme of music ‘A Night at the Opera’
