TNT: 20s and 30s

One of the great things about St. Andrew’s is the wide range of different people who make up our church family. Many in the 20s and 30s age group don’t naturally slot into the church’s other activities, which is why TNT exists!

We meet up for social activities – a chance to get to know other people in a similar life-stage to ourselves. We are open to all.

In addition, we have a small group, TNT:Explore, which meets together weekly for food, fellowship, bible-study, and prayer.

TNT: Explore

A Bible-based community of 20s and 30s seeking to grow together in discipleship and live out Jesus-centred lives.

Early on in the life of the church, the book of Acts describes the new Christians creating a close-knit communities. Their met together in small groups to share meals, study scripture, and for prayer as they discovered how to follow the recently ascended Lord Jesus. It was an authentic community of people who looked out and supported each other in whatever they needed. They shared not only their possessions but their lives.

These seem like excellent principles for building small groups. TNT:Explore aims to be a small group for 20s and 30s which embodies these principles of Christ following. Every week we eat together, giving us a chance to relax over a meal and get to know one another properly. We follow this with an honest and open discussion on a relevant topic, opening the Scriptures to guide us. And we finish with prayer.

We will begin this term by thinking about aspects of the Christian life, followed by a look at some of Jesus’ parables.

We meet together on Thursday nights at 7pm in the Lower Abbey Hall behind the church. Contact Andrew Dunlop via the church for more information.

On Wednesdays from 24th Feb to 24th March we will join with the Lent School of Faith, at 7:30pm in the Abbey Hall, which will offer several courses on biblical, pastoral and leadership themes. We will still meet on thursdays for social events in place of our Thursday meetings.

Weekend Away 2010

From 12th 14th March 2010 we will be going to Wescott farm near Honiton for a weekend away. This will be the second such weekend that TNT have been on. Last time we had a lot of fun, fellowship, and time to think about God’s guidance to us. This year we will be exploring the life of Joseph and his brothers from the book of Genesis. The cost will be £50 per person for two nights (including food). Please let Andrew Dunlop know if you would like to come.
